Most, if not all, of our products are MADE TO ORDER. That means our designers need enough time to design your custom-product, procure the necessary materials and process your order.

Orders for lounge suites typically take 14-21 days while small office cabinets may take 3-5 days. Fitted cupboards may also take 14-21 days depending on the nature of the project. We do fitted cupboards in Harare, Bulawayo, Chitungwiza, Mutare and other major cities. Delivery to these areas may be affected by availibility of transport and other consolidated loads to the respective city.

NO. We do have a distribution warehouse in Norton for Harare customers. Deliveries and arrangements to pick-p products from various branches can be done through contacting us.

We have capacity to deliver thoughout Zimbabwe with our wide Doves branch network.

Yes. Silkwood supplies and delivers furniture for tenders locally and regionally. We have technical and financial capability to undertake any tender project, either through joint-venture or on our own. 

We also assist companies that need our products through sub-contracting their projects. We have more than 20 years experience in supplying high quality best furniture which includes teak desks, teak executive padded desks, teak / mahogany boardroom tables and chairs, teak doors and teak cabinetry. 

Yes. Wholesale discounts are available for bulk orders. Silkwood is a furniture and casket manufacturing wholesale based in Zimbabwe. We welcome furniture vendors, casket vendors and large enterprises who need furniture products from us and we give discounts up to 30%.

Yes we do fitted cupboards for fitted kitchens in Zimbabwe, living room trending tv stand designs, bedroom fitted cupbaords and bathroom cabinetry. We also do fitted cupboards and shelving for offices. 

We do fix and supply to all areas including Harare, Chitungwiza, Norton, Mutare, Bulawayo and all major cities in Zimbabwe. We charge mileage from Mutare at highly negotiable and affordable rates.

If you need us to fit your kitchen, or remodel your living room and bedroom, first we will need to get the dimensions of your space. This, together with your desired style, will help determine the cost of fittings and materials required. 

Thereafter, we are able to advise pricing and guide you through the process, negotiate discounts with you and finally requesting a committment deposit payment before commencement of the project. 

We do charge a minimum fee of $30 to come and take measurements. Alternatively, measurements can be provided thorugh an architectural floor plan provided to your builder.

Unfortunately, we do not accept material from clients due to our strict quality policy. All our jobs, unless otherwise states, are strictly fixed and supplied by us.

YES, we do. Our clients have an option to do furniture lay-bye payments. In such cases, a deposit of at least 50% will be required.

When buying online, please select the ‘Pay deposit’ option and the system will calculate an acceptable amount required to start the order. 

YES, we offer affordable and flexible payment terms.  We have partnered Doves Financial Services to assist our clients. Doves Financial Services provides flexible payment options up to 12 months! The facility is open to the public.

The secure connection (https:) helps ensure privacy and safety of your information. We offer various safe and secure payment methods for a convenient online experience.

We accept Zimbabwe’s local currency ZiG at interbank rate. 

After ordering, please ensure you make payment. All products are paid UPFRONT.

We typically require money to reflect in our account before your order may be processed. This is beacuse most of our products are “made-to-order” and therefore specific to the individual and/or organisation. Ordinarily, orders take 7-21 days to completion. It’s not unusual for customers to receive their orders sooner than we’ve estimated.

All goods are manufactured from our Mutare factory and prices are ex-factory. We do not provide FREE delivery unless there are qualifying orders.

However, pick-up arrangements can be made locally at Doves branches in Harare, Norton, Chitungwiza, Bindura, Chinhoyi, Chipinge, Chiredzi, Masvingo, Zvishavane, Bulawayo, Gwanda, Beitbridge, Vic Falls, Gweru, Kwekwe, Kadoma, Sanyati and Gokwe. All goods are delivered to the shipping address supplied at the time of the order being placed.

If you require the address to be changed we will require advance notice and you will be requested to supply some further information.

Furniture orders usually take 1-3 days for in-stock ready to ship products in component form, and 7-14 days for custom made furniture. Order cycle time is depended on the design and complexity of the project and the lead time is for guidance purposes only. 

Where orders are required to be completed within a strict timelines, we run a night-shift to enable us to complete such orders. However, order delays may be encountered due to unforeseen circumstances.

Prior to dispatch, you will be contacted via email or phone to book the delivery. Our couriers will need confirmation that you are able to accept the delivery of your items so if you have been left a message or sent and email it is vital that you get back in touch with them to confirm the delivery. You will be given a 2-3 hour window on the day of the delivery. All items are delivered to your specified destination;  please make sure the route is clear of any obstacles which will not be our responsibility.

If you have purchased a large item it is your responsibility to make sure it will fit. If items ordered are returned because they do not fit, there will be a charge for the delivery, admin and restocking. If you have new carpets or soft flooring that can be scratched please make sure you have taken the relevant precautions by covering the floor to avoid any soiling or scratches as no liability will be taken by the couriers.

Please arrange that you or your authorized representative, who is a responsible person, is available to accept your purchases at the delivery address and that appropriate access will be made available. 

On delivery, we will require you or your authorized representative to sign and print your or their name on a duplicate copy of the delivery note, to confirm receipt.

Any person other than yourself who receives the products at the delivery address is presumed to be authorized to accept delivery on your behalf. Should no-one be available at the delivery address specified by you at the time of delivery, the driver will return the products. 

We reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee should it be required under these circumstances. Our sole liability for failing to deliver the products timeously is limited to delivery being affected at a later agreed time at no additional charge.

Currently, Silkwood does not offer FREE DELIVERY on its online and offline purchases.

However, from time to time we may run campaigns that allow for this trhough coupons and rewards. T and Cs will apply.

You can return an unwanted product to us at no charge, provided:

  • it is undamaged and unused, with the original labels and stickers still attached;
  • it is in the original packaging, which must be undamaged and in its original condition with all seals still intact (if applicable).
  • it is not missing any accessories or parts;
  • you give notification of return to our email within 7 days of delivery to you or collection by you of the unwanted product. After 7 days, you can only return a product if it is defective; and
  • it is not one of the products listed below.

Returns can be accepted within 7-14 days of receipt of the item subject to consideration of product warranty terms.

We’re committed to providing excellent customer service. If we don’t meet your expectations in any way, we want to have the opportunity to put things right. If something goes wrong, we’ll solve the problem as quickly and fairly as possible. Please use email to lodge your complaint.

We offer a return policy in line with good business practice. This means that if a customer wishes to return products, especially custom-made furniture,  due to a change of mind regarding their purchase, there is no legal requirement for a return to be accepted, or a refund or a credit to be issued.

We advise customers to select their purchase carefully, and if unsure, to view our products prototypes prior to making purchase.

We accept repairs to furniture supplied by us and do not guarantee return of all pieces of old materials that might have been removed from the item for repair. We will do repairs FREE of charge for furniture products supplied by us and damaged in transit.

However, we charge external products repairs. Client will be required to make payment before repairs can be done.
